Here's the scene.......its 11pm on a sat night in London bridge, where the Taxis are. I'm with someone who has an american accent. They walk up to some people standing near a taxi, and ask how much to get to Whitechapel. They are told that its going to cost £43!! The guy said this with a completely straight face. The person I'm with protested saying that its only minutes away after which the guy said "nah its only £10". From then on I asked the cost of the taxi fairs (I'm english).

Do all tourists get treated like that?
